After working for others in the HVAC and electrical industry for 23 years, Anthony Hearl decided it was time to branch out and try his hand with his own company.

“It was hard at first,” said the founder of Anthony Hearl, LLC, which provides air, heating, and electrical services and products to customers in Conway, Myrtle Beach, Horry County and the lowcountry areas of South Carolina.

What begin in 1999 has turned into a very successful venture into entrepreneurship and matches Anthony’s first 23 years of HVAC industry experience. The Conway native is quick to give credit to God and says he always “lifts it up to the Lord.”

In practical terms, Anthony chalks up the business’ longevity to being upfront and honest with people. He is a huge advocate of respecting the customer and never trying to talk clients into buying or providing services or products they really don’t need.

“Don’t push it. Don’t take advantage,” Anthony said. “When the time comes, they will call us back.”

He also says he has always instilled the need in his employees to value the customer’s time as well as their own.

“Try to be on time. Stay on schedule,” he said. “Give the best service we can when we get there.”

The company continues to grow, now under the watchful hands of Anthony’s son, Michael.

“He’s just got the click for it,” said Anthony. “Now, I have to call him with questions.”

Anthony said Michael jumped in the business and has caused it to grow even more.

“Little seeds were planted and he kept watering them,” Anthony said.

The company founder has enjoyed the challenges of the business and meeting people along the way.

Over the years, he has seen changes in the industry. One of those is that products and parts now come with the convenience of being prefabricated. Things such as flex pipe used to have to be made when needed.

Everything is also highly computerized in modern times. For example, the HVAC needs of an entire commercial building with 15 different units can be controlled from a single laptop.

A home or business can now be zoned for individual room comfort with mini splits. The business also offers the latest air purifiers for a healthy home or working environment due to viral and allergen concerns.

From everything to being prepared for emergencies with a home generator to the installation of electric car charging stations, Anthony Hearl continues to keep you covered and comfortable in their family owned and operated business.
